Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

If you really want to know pay about 500 dollars for a good C++ class

I was wondering how to edit and change the mission files in Star Trek Armada II and I also don't know what program to open them with. I can open the Objective files and even edit them, but I can't get the other files in the Missions folder to open to edit them. How is this done? I really want to know because I have a Fourth Campaign idea that actually sounds pretty cool but I need to be able to edit the Tutorial files to make it work.

I'd suggest visiting Megadroid's MMM site and learning how to use his tools. The link can be found on the homepage of the guide, as well as in the modding section of FleetOps.net .

Nevermind, what I need to achieve what I want to do is C++ which I don't have very much of. I'm wanting to modify the mission selection screen so I can put more than 4 campaigns on the series and more than 10 missions per campaign.

That depends on your computer and internet connection. For me it is possible, for others it is possible - have you downloaded any files off the internet before?
I don't see why it shouldn't be possible, considering all Megadroid's impressive downloads are available from his site.

I've downloaded files from the internet before, actually many times, I wouldn't have the files that I'm adding to my game if I didn't download any of them.
I think I'll have to explore Megadroid's site to find the downloads.

Not if you own the original disk. Here in Australia at least you are allowed to make copies of disks you own but you must have the original and not allowed to sell or distribute them. This refers to games, cd's and movie DVD's. They are backup's only and if asked by authorities you must be able to present the original upon request. But this is for the land down under can and probably is different in other countries.
As for the Campaign, like others said MMM is probably the best. I have yet to look into it personally but certainly will when I get up to editing the campaign for my mod.

hmm thats interesting. As far as I was aware, if the CD is write protected, it is illegal to break the copy protection tto make a copy, but maybe its different for AU.

I believe you and everyone else are right when talking about MMM. I'm still trying to figure out how it works but making my Fourth Campaign is still a few months off into the future, like maybe the ending of October early November.
