Thease are my computer specs:

HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
Processor: AMD Turion II Ultra Dual Core Mobile M600 2.4 GHZ
Memory: 4 GB Ram
System Type: Windows 7 64 Bit Operating System
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (M96)
Graphics Driver: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 Series

My probelems are, the framerate slows down, like it will run some what smooth then the frame rate slows down. with my specs this computer should run the old game like a dream but it doesnt. Plus for both the Star Trek Armada II and Fleets Ops transparent objects like cloaked ships on Fleet Ops, and on Star trek Armada II the transparent markers everytime you highlight a group of ships will slow down the framerate. Its getting real fustrating. Im running for Star Trek Armada II Mods wise, Ghost Comp mod, and borg incursions. Could some one help me i love Star Trek Armada II it was real good strategy anyone helps me i will greatly appreciate it.

Yes, this is really an effect of the older render in A2. The next FO patches will contain some improvements to this feature, so you could migrate to FO then and run A2 as a stock mod there :) .Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Star Trek Armada II Import

Unless you know direct x coding etc... I'm afraid not.  :sweatdrop: The Fleet Ops render is improved from the A2 render but still suffers from similar flaws currently (though not as much).

If you run the mods as a mod of the Stock A2 mod (yes, that does sound confusing) on Fleet Ops, they should run better. That's especially because FO can utilize more RAM, etc than A2. If you stick with stock Armada 2 however, indeed, there is not much you can do either short term or long term

If I were you I would try turning your AA settings all the way down.  i have a computer with similar specs and it seems to help, however I can also run Stock a2 fine, so I'm not positive it will help you. :(

The anti-aliasing settings are in your graphics card settings outside the game. Since you have an ATI it would be CCC(Cataylist Control Center) located in the system tray at the very bottom right.

Yes they are....

You need to click the top-left corner Graphics tab, then select 3D.

You paid to update to a 'pro' version of 'drivers'?  I think you got scammed, drivers are all free for ATI and nvidia cards!
