This might just have to do with weapons but I have to be sure because I wasn't building any combat ships and the race I was playing hasn't ever crashed before, the Tholians.
I want to get the Son'a working perfectly because I'm going to combine the Xindi with them (as in a few Xindi units to make one semi-full race. I'm going to do the same with the Tholians and the the Gorn because the Gorn race I'm using already has some Tholian units as an Alliance.
Can anyone please let my know if I'm right that its just weapons based?

While I can't answer your question, this post is SOOO much better than the other ones. Much more concise, and easier for someone to look at. Keep this up, and I hope it works out, Jetnova.

yeah, the problem is with sdestroy.odf. It most likely has a misspelled weapon reference.
And mal is right, much better than the last posts.

Thank you for the compliment on the post size.
I thought the problem was with the sdestroy.odf but I still haven't fully figured out what it might be. All the weapon files for the ship are already in my game (I don't know if there are any weapons.spr information missing though because I checked the file and couldn't find anything).
Alright, I want to keep this brief again so I'll just say these 3 things:
1) Ru'Afo's Command ship has the same problem as the USS Defiant and the Defiant-class but isn't using the warship.odf file.
2) My Subspace Weapon (only one of them) seems to crash the game, the other I haven't been able to test yet.
3) I have uploaded the Son'a Full Race that I created to MegaUpload (the credits are included, really all it is is a combination of all the Son'a Mods that you can find turned into a race).
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
The other attachec screenshots and bugreports are for the newly mentioned errors. But for some reason I'm not able to upload them because of I don't know since they are all under the required size and even seperately their failing to attach. So the mentioned files are in the attached .ZIP file, sorry about that.

I'm sorry to say that I think it's the Ferengi race issue again. The crash happens in the SalvageProcess AI type which I believe (not at a computer with A2 right now, so can't check) is used by the Ferengi Marauder. I think there are some settings you can change to stop the Ferengi being spawned which you could do until the problem is fixed properly.
Edit - I just realised that the Ferengi link all of your issues - with ships becoming derelict/dying, trading - all of them involve the Ferengi in some way (scavenging or trading). If we can get to the bottom of the Ferengi race issue, I think the majority of problems will just go away. Looking back at the other bug reports I can see they all involve the Ferengi.

Its a conspiracy.

I'm afraid that I've come to the same conclusion as Megadroid - it seems that the Ferengi are the common denominator that are causing the crashes. I've not played about with them much myself; but a few things -
- Have you modified/renamed/deleted anything that starts with 'zf' in any of the odf or SOD folders?
- I would suggest starting up a new install patched to your level and copying over the Defiant (or even Son'a ship) and seeing what happens. If it crashes still, it's a problem with that. If it doesn't - it's a problem with the Ferengi. In which case copying over their stock files may help
- Using the Map Editor, check if you can actually place any Ferengi ships. You may not be able to use them, but if the game loads up with them in then that's a couple of possibilities removed
- If none of this helps at all then I think your only option is to remove the trading stations and - somehow - disable scavengers

I'm actually thinking the same thing so I totally concur with what you are saying. After all like you've stated the Salvage Process is linked to the Ferengi and so is the Trading. I believe that is the same reason why the "Destroy All Weapon" crashes the game too, it hits ships that have higher Shield/Health HP Values and then the game crashes. All those ships can easily be salvaged and actually leads to having many derelict vessels in space, like you'd expect to see in Star Trek, especially after a conflict such as Wolf 359, The Dominion War, and The Battle at the Azure Nebula (if you want to call it a battle, more like a massacre )
By any chance do you have any ideas that could stop the Ferengi problem for now, I believe that the Ferengi can be turned off in at least Instant Action. Would a permanent fix possibly come from using the Armada2Files Mod - Ferengi Scavengers? It makes the Ferengi a Full Playable Race.

Everything seems to work fine in a Stock Armada II game and one patched to 1.1 and with the Patch Project 1.2.5 Patch and also with Vanilla Ultimate. The Ferengi is the problem then for sure.
I just haven't really changed anything except armed the Ferengi ships but that was before I added all the new races, this did start though the moment I added the Dominion Ultiamte Mods, with the Increased Shield/Health HP Values because I did that for the Borg, Dominion and Breen all at the same time as adding the Dominion Ultimate Mod.
I can't spot any major changes that would be creating this, but if anyone is willing to look at an Install of my mod, I have a Alpha Testing version created from Sunday, so the So'na race isn't as it is now (The Son'a Alliance). I would put a link to the file on MegaUpload here but I don't think the moderators or the Devs will like that because there is some Fleet Ops material in the install too, the Dominion ships and stations that I created new ODFs for just using the SOD's and Textures from the Fleet Ops mods though. Let me know if you want teh file, I'll PM you the link. Its a full install of the game, .EXE included so all you'll need is the disc. Please let me know. Thank you.

I'm going to get back to the errors that aren't related to the Ferengi Problem or the second Federation Mission for the Federation Campaign. There was one issue that is in the game that hasn't been solved and now I've found isn't related to the Ferengi at all. These revolve around the Son'a and their special unique race that I've created.
Here is what I have done, I have created a Son'a Alliance using ships from a few different races, the Son'a, the Xindi and the Suliban. The Son'a ships were mostly created by scaling down their main two ships, the Destroyer and the Battleship or crusier (depending on what you want to call it). The Son'a are the base name for the mod, and they have the Suliban from the "Birth Of The Federation Mod" only problem here is that a few of their ships aren't showing up in the Son'a Shipyard but they are in the game and their techtree and gui_global.spr data are correct, but the ships won't show up and I don't know why. (Note Downloading the Mod that I've posted a link to won't help you see thise problem, the Suliban were added after the mod was uploaded. (If anyone wants the full new version to test/help with this please let me know and I'll send them it).
Alright, lastly this prooblem you will find in the uploaded version of the mod, and it involves the Son'a Special Weapon, I believe the bugreport for this problem has already been posted, but here is a new screenshot. I've circled the problem weapon and its button. Please take alook, thank you.
EDIT: Here is the new Screenshot from the just playing the game as the Son'a and also the new Bugreport. I know it has to do with the Special Weapons because that's when the game crashes, they are used at that moment of launch or when the target is hit.

I think an explosion type might be missing. Check to make sure that the weapon uses an explosion that is valid.

There might be a combination of things missing here, Sprites Information I think, I don't think there is an explosion file for this. Here are the ODF files for the Son'a Special Weapons.
EDIT: I'm going to also include the weapons.spr file.

Well in gsubspace.odf there is this line (line 20):
Should probably fix that.
- Code: Select all
buttonBorder =

I fixed that line, but could that cause a crash if the weapon's button shows up, especially if the weapon does fire?
