Systems Disabling Weapons?

Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

What is an easy way to get say a phaser beam or a torpedo to disable an arbitrary system on a target or maybe cause crew casualties?

Hmmm, maybe firing at the target ?

Do you mean odf editing stuff? Maybe checking out the Vor'cha's torpedo or Breen weapon or any of the other disabling weapons might do it? :)

Those wont work for the reason that they disable a random system. I'm looking for a way to be able to disable a specific system reliably.

yea, check the polaron torpedo, you can use the unitorpedo to disable just one subsystem

Not to be dense or anything but what commands do i set to disable which systems?

hmm, maybe you could make a weapon that does small amounts of subsystem damage every hit, and so eventually, all systems would go down, but obviously conventional weapons fire would randomise this somewhat.

I might...

the uni torpedo offers seperate chances for each subsystem to be disabled. if you set one to 100 percent and all others to zero, then only one subsystem will be affected

What if i want 2 subsystems to be affected? to i tell it to affect 2 and set each desired one to 50 percent?

nope, it will always disable only one system (you can set it to disable more then one, but it will be a seperate roll each time). so you cant enforce to disable exactly 2 weapons with one uni torpedo.

I dont mean to bug you, but how would i get a torpedo like that to deal crew casualties?

I think anything that causes damage should kill the crew.

Ugh, no. Armada (2) had it like this i think and it was horrible.

That wasn't an opinion of mine. I meant should as in; I think it does, but am not certain. It actually is better the stock way, more realistic.
