Federation Bomber

I currently use only the Peregrine class fighter for the federation in my addon mod. I'm looking for an assault/bomber type ship to add as well. Should I use some kind of shuttle or runabout? The Dominion already has an assault fighter in the form of refitted scouts. Im wondering if I can do the same for the other races that use fighters. (Everybody but the Borg). Any ideas or suggestions? Also check out my lastest version here.

Yeah, a Runabout(w/torp pod) or the Delta Flyer would be perfect.

Ok I was considering the Javalin-Class. The Delta Flyer I was gonna add to veteran intrepids and support/science ships. A runabout with torps makes sense as a bomber.

Time for Killer Bees. Plus It would be Gannon since been in several of the tech manuals. Pros , very Small , maneuverable . Cons easily taken out due to weak shields. small payload of torpedo . One in a side mount launcher or two using a modified Cargo train adapter sled. Or scale it up in size to a Venture scout sized ship.

After thinking about it... I agree a runabout like the danube makes sense as a bomber. in DS9 they were even equipped with rollbars to carry starship-sized torpedoes. When I first read "bomber" I was thinking more like the steam runner torpedo boats, so I was confused for a moment.

Nice ship but looks a little too aggressive to be a federation fighter and doesn't really have a 'bomber' look. I'll just use the Danube with a photon launcher and then when a ship hits veteran it'll deploy Danubes with quantum torps. Intrepids and other support/science ships will deploy Delta flyers with quantums. I might add a standard type 2 shuttle hanger to the other stations for more fighter support.
