What do you think of this kind of wireframes and tooltips?
I had to copy the different examples into one picture, because I didn´t want to post 4 pics of this size.

All ships have their own voice commands spoken from the original voice actors.
The same I did for DS 9 with Cpt. Sisko as wireframe and voice.

Like I understood, the FleetOps staff wants to bring some admirals or s.th. similar to the game. Maybe this is a way to show them ingame.

Thx for your replies.
I realized that the size of the saber is wrong, there is a typo in my DS9 book. The correct size should be 195m and the Norway is missing on the pic, which has a size of 365m.

@ chompman
Yes ´m german, after installing FleetOps I recognized the game is using the german voice samples for most races and computer voices. So I decided to translate and modify the tooltips too.

@ Eufnoc
The button with the runabout is a mistake, I mixed s.th. in the global sprite. It should show the tricobalt button. The button showing two ships is for separating the saucer of the Prometheus.
The three torps are for multi target quantum torpedos used by the Prometheus.
After going into MVAM, each section of the Prometheus has different special weapons, as there are multi target torps for the bridge section, pointdefense for the saucer and distortion for the lower bridge section.
The button with the blue circle and the arrow I took for critical shot and the original critical shot button (a single blue torp)I took for tricobalt torpedos.
What do you mean with temporal status?

The DS9 Book is not always correct. Here are some Charts taking into account books, screen appearances, master situation displays and so on:

http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/fleet-charts.htm

Also, they discuss the sizes of some ships and which should be the correct figure.

yes, fleetops uses many sound samples from your armada cd to save memory when downloading. do you have translated all tooltips and descriptions?

@ Lt.Cdr. White
Thx for the link. I knew this already, but simply lost it in my huge list of favorits ;-)
Now I can work a little more on the correct sizes.

@DOCaCola
Nice to be able to inspire you.
I finished translating all federation relating parts in the odf tooltips and in the "Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h".
At the moment I´m working on new sound samples for building ships and stations, which I want to take instead of the voice commands. When I will have completed this, I´m going to translate the Klingons and Romulans.
If you´re interested in the "Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h" I can send it to you.
BTW, could it be you´re from Hamburg too ??

Edit:
I finished the translation, but fleet ops doesn´t seem to like it. The game refuses to start, when you change the GUI-tooltips. No problem appears, when you´re only translating ships and stations. Maybe it is a conflict with the german cd?

hmm, that sounds all very good.
i hope this increases the chance for a german fleet ops :)

btw: there is a topic about that started a few days ago -here- :sweatdrop:
