i was wondering if it would be possible to have a quick scroll function as the right mouse button. some of the c&c games like red alert 2 onwards i think(and probably other game franchises as well)have had this.
by pressing and holding down the right mouse button you can scroll around the map alot faster than when you have the cursor at the edge of the screen.the when you release the button you go back to normal speed for more precise movement.
would this be possible in fleet ops?
does anyone else want it in fleet ops?

Interesting concept
.
On a side note, if you hold your cursor to the edge and use your arrow keys, you can get up to 2x the speed of scrolling.

yeah i know of that technique ,
the advantage that the c&c right click quick scroll has is that you can keep you cursor in the middle of the screen and you don't need to use another hand for the arrow keys that would otherwise be used for hot-keying commands.
i found it to be very helpful for micro management and issuing commands quickly for when you have battles in several places at once or if 1 battle is across a space not able to fit into 1 screen.
depending on how fast you moved the mouse depends on how fast it scrolls.
