You never listen, do you? No, I came here to help you. Because I've got ~14 years experience modding Armada 1/2/FlOps, and despite your attitude towards me every time I've offered my help or support to you, I am determined to try and make you a better modder (and if we can get you to listen once in a while, a better person). But you have repeatedly failed to listen to what we are trying to explain to you, which is (and I'll repeat this yet again), YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO IT "YOUR" WAY. The way that at least 3 of us have explained DOES WORK. WE'VE DONE IT. It looks different in the odf file, but to a player of the game, the colours come out exactly the same as in stock.

And now some quotes to where I've already said this, so you can see it's ME who's repeating myself.

Atlantis wrote:You did not explain WHY you need it to match the stock one. Go on, explain... Why? What difference does it make to the player? NONE. You are trying to fix something that is NOT BROKEN.

Atlantis wrote:Why can't you just edit the file in the odf, to achieve the same effect? Why does it need to match the stock file exactly? Players will not be able to see the difference. If it can be done in such a way that the game works the same from the players' perspective, there is no point in changing the hardcoded aspects of the game just to suit you.

It IS that simple. Use the commands from the FlOps file, and the colour definitions from the stock file. It won't look perfect in code, but ingame it will be spot on.
The A2Classic mod includes modified files anyway (else there'd be nothing in the mod), so what's wrong with this file being in it too?
