Capturing Ferengi Marauder

Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

Hi there. I've found sometimes a ferengi marauder flying around and wanted to capture it.
I've forced my ships to fire on him but my ships did'nt start to transport over troops. I think this ship is'nt that bad and wanted to have it in my fleet. And the next question is:

When I fight with this happy ship, what kind of advanteges will it get after levelling up? Sure, this is a minor problem, but I'd like to see this ship as a heavy cruiser for backbone support of my fleet.

Unfortunately as the game is currently set, you cant actually capture the Marauder.  :crybaby:

All crew you beam onto the ship change sides as soon as they arrive, so you can never actually capture it. If you could lure one into a Radiation nebula maybe heh. Also, i'm pretty sure it doesnt have any lvls past the basic one yet. The Dev gods will be adding minor races sometime in the next couple content patches :)

I agree, It would be a cool feature if we were able to easily capture a Marauder, It should get the veteran ability to tractor two ships at once or something

Something like a neat weapon. The ferengi are like the romulans in tactics. Maybe you steal with a special tractor beam away their shields and load on your own, but it will cost special energy. :?:

The maruader is a quite nice lil ship..ive added it to my fleets b4 via the map editor....its weapons though sound a lil "clapity"....other than that it is quite nice.

how about adding the ferengi as a full race they may only have a few ships of their own but they should also have access to other race ships mostly older models which they have somehow aquired with their latinum lol

Maybe, but not for a looong time, just look at all the other races the dev team have lined up. Cardies will even come before the citizens of ferenginar.

You could add the Marauder to the Warp-In. Maybe Starfleet could pay them enough to justify risking their lives?

Try playing one of Mal's tactical maps and one of the derelicts is a marauder. It has a tractor beam and some torpedo special ability.

I know what it has, I added it as a Warp-In once. The Tractor isn't as useful as the Klingon or Borg version.

there are two marauders.  one is the regular one that steals ships, and the second one, called marauderA is available via map editor, and it is capable of being controled by a player.

The varriant that steals derilects is, if I recall correctly, hardcoded to not be possible to control.

It looses the crew, you beam over, and it doesnt change sides, no matter what.
