I would like to get a collection of the best FO maps (customs allowed).
Criterias are as follows:
1. Map must allow different strategies (in general)
2. Map must have more than 1 Battlefield area (e.g. no king of the hill thing only)
3. Map must have a fair number of moons (no moon massing)
4. No AIs allowed (only 0 crew ships/stations)
5. Map must have a valid picture!
6. All areas need to be accessed by all factions (no transwarp or warp-in areas)
At first we collect, than we vote on the maps.

Final Frontier II is a great 3v3 map.

Just out of Curiosity, how come there can be no King of the Hill maps?
Asteroid Halma might as well be one ... it's still a super fun map .

King of the hill means, that fighting is located in ONE place only. This cuts down possible strategies alot, so these maps are out of focus here...even thou they might be considered as fun...

For example, This Is No Cave is more of a "king of the hill" map, because the center is so crucial. Whereas Final Frontier II is one of the best maps ever. Did I already mention that?

Haha oh I'm quite aware of what "King of the Hill" means in terms of maps . I've been playing RTS for quite a while .
I dunno though ... is there a reason why those maps are excluded? Is "The Very First Map" considered a King of the Hill? Does the purple Neb keep it from being that way? Who judges that?
"This is No Cave!" is sort of a King of the Hill, but people haven't bothered much to attack the side expansions in my opinion. I may have to make the map size a bit bigger to fix the proximity in the center .

I do.
If one spot of the map (2x2 screens) can be used to block the entrance to the opposing base(s) entirely the map is out! There need to be at least 2 different ways to the opposing base(s).
The reason is, as stated above, that I want more strategies to be available. Otherwise it will end in a boring mass fight at the center...those maps suck imo.

Okay.... Try battlefeild.bzn (one of mine). You'll find that there is no way to barracade that map unless you are one of those people that really stretch a game beyond 24 hours. Then maybe you might have a turret wall...
