Eridianians???

I was searching thru old posts and came across references to a race known as the Eridians but it seems that they did not make the final cut. If you have a sec could you tell me who they were, why they were cut, and if they are going to make an appearance as a minor race??

they are a race from the deep beta quadrant involved in some storylines around the romulans that have been cut. yep, they will appear as a major NP faction in the future
