:ermm: Errr, righty then. Allow me to explain  :innocent:

The saucer is connected to the secondary hull (the rest of the ship) by a ... piece of metal quite similar to the duck's neck style thingy of a Galaxy or constitution class. The difference is, its surface has a grid like consistency, most likely designed to frighten off Romulans .

My detailed knowledge of these things is due to the fact that I was in charge of building the Enterprise-B. However, the team encountered technical difficulties (I coudn't glue the saucer to the grid-like duck-neck accordian thingy) so someone else took charge of the project  :crybaby:

We hopes this clears things up  . If the doctor can help with anything else, let me know. My knowledge is without limits  :pimp:

what do you mean, "you was in charge of building the eneprise b?".

When I was building the Enterprise-B, I got a chance to see the ducks-neck component up close, so I can assure you that it is not much different from other Federation ships

If you want any details, try EAS.  They're bound to have something.

(EAS is Ex Astris Scientia. Just Google it.)
