I'd like to know the correct pronounciation of Rinser, for the fed tutorial.

i've attached two files, it would be great if a dev could tell me which is correct. or if a totally different way is how you say it.

Well according to what I've learned in my phonetics classes I'd tend to say the 2nd is correct, but I could be totally wrong.

the name is of german origin, so the "i" is long. you could try something like rees-ner ^-^

Hmm
@Optec no I don't think so if that would be the correct pronunciation the German spelling would be Riesner wouldn't it? But its Risner so it should be like his second sound file

family names are not that strict, Risner could for example have been Riesner in the past and changed over generations, i have many similar examples in the family names of my friends. The second example sounds like Riss-ner. At the end of the day, shes spoken "Rees-ner"  ^-^

I don't think it sounds like Riss-ner because that would mean the first part would sound like the word "rissig" which stresses the "s" a lot more.

And maybe its different here in Austria but I can not think of a single name where it matters for the pronunciation how it was written in the past and also it is kind of strict. If its spelled Risner it should not sound like Rissner nor Riesner.

If I had to guess how it should sound like, i would take words like "Rispe" or "riskant" and kinda copy the first part. Which results in pretty much what the second soundfile sounds like. The only time when I would go for "Rees-ner" (=Riesner) was if I knew someone who has that name and he told me it's pronounced like that.

edit reason: typo
