Are the Iconians going to like have gateways scattered about the map or something?

The Iconians are a complicated matter, wie're actually discussing about.
Probably they won't need to build a base or gather resources. They will warp in their vessels from other timelines.
The Iconians will have strong vessels and can create Heros from their Credits to compliment their fleet.
We hope to release the Iconians in the next betas, i will post screenshots of them as soon as i have done the meshes, but first i will have to do the romulans ;-)
After all the Iconians are very different from the other races. I hope you will enjoy playing them ;-)

They can open Gateways in the timeline to warp in vessels without the need to build them.

like the protoss in starcraft, if you have it that is... oh and can they use the gates against enemies by opening a gate to somewhere else a it propelled the enemy into the gate?

They have a very powerful super weapon called temporal disruptor, which cann erase whole fleets from timeline

quite big.. the exact influence radius hasn't been decided yet.
