Where does the Intrepid fire from when the target is behind it? It doesn't seem to have the 2 aft launchers that should be on the spine.
It has a small strip glowing orange where special effect mistakes gave it a 5th launcher in the show, is that where they fire from?

They're seen more than once used in the show, I'll edit pics into this post if I can find them.

I know where they are in the show, both proper launchers and effects mistakes (consistent or otherwise). I was asking about the game one, the post and forum placement should have been clear, especially in the second paragraph.

Oh the ingame models, I never even take those too seriously cause the engine prevents it from really mattering.

If you pause the game the INSTANT you fire a torpedo, youll notice that it is coming from the center of the ship, passing through entire decks to get into space. Yet somehow it manages not to blow itself up and hit the enemy its just how it works, its like that in pretty much any game where you have a ship shooting at something. If you were going to do a design like that, with the torpedo launchers being EXACTLY where the torpedoes were shot (the only ST game I know of like that is Empires at War II or something like that; I don't remember the exact name)

Bridge Commander's weapons hard points are also usually very accurate, though that's a simulator and not an RTS so it's easier to get more detail into things like weapon placement (crucial even, considering you can target and destroy individual systems).
