Mining Question

I have a question: how do the miners work? do they beam ore straight out of the moon, do they beam it up from some mining colony, or what?

then I would say, scene you don't setup mining colony your self, you are beaming the reasourses right out of the moon.

I'd agree, it looks like a perfected version of the remote mining beam in TNG.
