Hey guys, this mod is plain awesome and thanks for making such great "game" since there aren`t much decent Star Trek themed games around.

Simple question: does AI produce mixed tech ships if it`s having an ally? If not, could it be implemented in future big patch?

Also an another one: could you give us some hints regarding Borg faction redo? For me, the only problem with the Borg was that they lacked experience progress or could not assimilate special weapons like they could in original Armada II. Cheers!

Hey mate, welcome to Fleet ops.

About the mixed tech, right now the mixed tech uses some intresting tricks to be able to do what it does, and i don't know if these are very ai friendly, as with most things, the ai must c'cut corners' o work like it does, and neeless to say, the devs are hard at work on the multiplayer side of the game.

About the borg: the tech assim is broken as of the time being, i don't quite know its priority on the todo.
And a borgie style experence system is in the works: adaption is ineveitable.

but as it works now, its been explaned that the ships you build as borg have mid rank stats, so its not really a ballencing issue, you just don't gain new stuff for ills like yu do the other raes, and the module system makes up for a lot of that.

anyway, hope i helped.

yes, it is planned to improve AI support for the more advanced features in fleet operations

Actually the borg don't have experience because they are very very strong from the beginning, essentially having big ships with nuker attacks where rarely a single unit can go 1on1 against them. And also it is the very purpose of the borg not to learn, but to assimilate and adapt (modules). What they cannot assimilate, they destroy and that's why I love'em, total genocidal lunatics! :borg:

Since we are on the topic of the AI, there is something curious i notice from time to time. I actually saw the AI going intentionally for my miners, is it just an occasional fluke or is the AI programmed to raid? :shifty:

Probably the low defence value making them get hit first.
