Make a backup of several GB of mods for when my C Drive has to be redone? That folder was the backup, which went with every program and game on the computer.

the backup shouldnt be on the same physical drive as the original. if you kept a copy on another hard drive, preferably one speficically for backing up data and not for regular access then you wouldn't lose much. several ways of doing this which are common are:

- a second hard disk in your computer
- an external hard disk, this is what i use.
- optical media such as blurays, which can hold a lot.
- network backup over the internet. or over your home network to another computer.

all of those would prevent losing your stuff if your windows install got corrupted.

Like the D Drive? That one wasn't erased, though it was pretty much full. No Network, either.

Once I get it, I'll probably put it on a Flash-stick. 2GB should be more the sufficient.

a flash stick is good cos of portability. but i find i have more stuff than can fit on them.

its good u have a second hd. i have a laptop so no space for a second.

Aye, I have two backup external harddrives  . So Tyler, you still need the Media Pack?

Yes, my downloads were all on C Drive. The one that got wiped.

Everytime I click something, it says 'Windows Live Messenger Disconnected' no matter how often you click Log-In.

Maybe the Rapidshare idea would work... that always works.
