just noticed something, when the nebula torp class reaches Rank 5 it gains type XV phasers, however these do less damage per shot than standard phasers?
The Type XV phasers do two attacks of 4 points each, as opposed to the previous rank where it's a single attack of 7 points, so on paper it does do slightly more damage.
In practise it's one of the shittiest Officer rank upgrades.
