I had already made a few minor changes to FO before I decided to play via Tunngle. I've got everything back the same as they should be exept all_cap_veteran. I have forgotten what the number of slots for most of the ships. Can someone please post the contents of the whole file please please? Either as an attachment or post the actual code I don't care.

Thank you. B)

for future reference if u want to mod you can make a second install just for modding. i believe it's as simple as copying the install folder. if this gives you trouble just download and use the installer but select a different location and u will get a second fo install. many modders keep 1 fo unmodded for playing online and use several other copies for modding.

I know I keep the installers with me.  That way I can always make a fresh install for trying new FO mods.  It's not like hard drive space is an issue these days.

sounds like a plan. certain things u can change without getting version mismatch. like sounds, u can remove sounds (i got rid of menu button beeps) u can edit textures too i believe. its only things that affect gameplay that cause mismatch, like changing an odf.

Well, i've known that for a few years now I just wasn't on doing mutli...I hardly ever with any game.

Ok, heres the deal, im still getting a mismatch even though the new shortcut is properly setup and everything. I've got all 8914 odfs from the full install and all three of the patches(1.5gbs total install size) like im supposed to. Though there is only one game going right now so, im thinking he skipped the 311 and 312 updates maybe cause I know it can't be me right?

You should only need 3.1.0 and the 3.1.3 patch, as previous patch information is deleted and then replaced with the new info via the installer.

Oooooohhh...I see.

Alright I will delete and start over again.

EDIT: Are you absolutely sure because the mismatch message is no longer popping up like before though I still couldn't get in because the games had already started.

EDIT2: Ok, it seems im good to go as is I just watched a game so I dont have to reinstall now yay.
