Now that the time is approaching, how will you release the new version of the mod? Will we still have to download both the main file and a multimedia pack, or are you going to put up one single installer for download, as well as seperate ones?

I intend to release a full package and the multimedia pack seperate for downloading as it already was for beta 2. A update from beta 2 to version 3 is not planned but i may consider it when an efficient update (not more then 40% of full package file size) is possible to do

Yea, the installer will do this for you as it was with beta 1.x -> beta 2.

The installer size goes up to 160mb for my first estimate but i only guessed it cause of the many new bigger and updated textures etc. I will assemble the files soon for a first test of a few installer optimations so i can give you more specific numbers.

Kool,
By my estimate 160MB @ a speed of 70kb/s we should be looking at aproximatley a 40 min download, hope we get better transfer rates than that. Unless your ISP sucks AN@L looks at Eufnoc

160 x 1024kb / 250kb/sek = 737.28s = 12.288min

Just a few lessons in informatic course.
250kb means 250 kilo bits per second not 250 kilo bytes per second
8 bits is 1 byte.
So correct would be 250KB (kilo bytes).

You see, I'm also smart as Doca he he

And it would be bits, not bites. :)

The plural of bit is bits. And bits don't bite. :D

PS: It's Kb vs. KB. The difference of bits and bytes does not affect the standard abbreviation for kilo.
