Question concerning the Prometheus.

Hi you all,

While looking through the fleetops files I saw that there is a prometheus file.

Does this mean that the ship is playable in the game if so how do I get it?

I tried builiding it but there is no butten and with warpin (after 10 times or more) it doens't come.

So my qeustion is:

Is the prometheus class still playable in version 3.1.2?

It is available as a map object in the Map Editor and needs to be manually placed.

However, it does not have any fancy stuff like MVAM so it's a bit of an anticlimax

the ship exists, but in normal play you wont be able to access it.

to access it u need to use map editor (which of course wont work in multiplayer)

in a single player game push ctrl+e, then u must accept the original terms of using it, then u will notice that the game is paused and u have control over everything.

to add a ship you will need to use the function keys.

push F4 to enter the federation list, then F7 for uncommon stuff, then F2 to place a prometheus class starship at the location of the cursor.

the prometheus is a rather unimpressive ship, it is incomplete as of this version, it has no single unit overview and no tooltip and doesnt rankup i dont believe. also there is a button for mvam, but the button is invisible, it is just to the right of all the normal buttons. when i push it my game crashes lol.

so if u are asking if u will be able to build it or get it fairly in a real game, no u cant

if u wanna play around with it against the ai you can by doing what i just said.

they may add it later with a different function instead of mvam.

Hmm.. I remember when they got the mvam to work back in 3.0 was it? Man I love the Prom even though everyone seems to hate it...

i dunno, it might work for other people, all i know is it crashes on my computer. maybe u guys should test it on yours and see if it crashes there too. im not too bothered with it not working, its not part of the game. i doubt it ever will be either, i dont like the ability

I beleve it has to do with some changes made to the replaceweapon.
