Races

I was wondering and I came to think Why have you guys planned so many unknown races for the Final Mod. I mean I know ya guys want to make a difference but what about one or two new races and then keep some old ones but totally changed like the Feds or Borg... you could have all the races that gave the Federation trouble! It won't be much different from other Mods but it'll be more "trek" and you all could still make it "different" with the strategy...

Hi

we sure want to keep the star trek flair, but we also want fleetops to be different to original armada. the cause that we changed some races is that we want something that gives more variety between the races than just 'another federation'. sure, cardassians are nice, but they are nothing real different from the federation.

In the coming betas you will find species 8472, the dominion and the cardassians as "non player races" .. these are races placed on the maps independend from the selected human or AI players. These races will have their on small tech tree and a few ships or stations (the more popular ones like the cardassians will have mor units like the less pupular molans or something).. Of course you can board these vessels and acquire cardassian technology and vessels, which can be a useful assistence.
You will find die Ciadan, Eridians and Noxter much more different from the federation like the Cardassians or the Dominion could ever be.

Only the playable races are decided yet. They are:
Borg
Federation
Klingon
Romulan
Iconian
Ciadan
Eridian
Noxter
