ship build limits

so i noticed last night that the borg have a build limit of 25 cubes/tac cubes.

was just wonderinging if all ships have a limit thats not displayed or just the big ones and the ones that are labeled like carriers, miranda 2, drednoughts etc

borg don't have a limit on cubes afaik.

i quickly tested this and easily built more than 26. i was testing on high game speed and unlimited res, which shouldn't affect caps.

hmm, its just that it wouldnt let me even build the shassy, yet i then clicked on a dimond and it built normally,
so i counted how many i had and it was 25. (most tac cubes, i think only 2 or 3 standard looking)

maybe you didn't have enough collective connections, cubes are a huge step up in costs from diamonds.

Yeah that would be my guess too. Try it with Infinite Resources on, perhaps, see what happens?

I'm sure that, during my silly games of "infinite resource Borg vs 7 AI" I've had more than 25...

yep, there shouldn't be a limit on cubes. all limits should be visible in the tooltips. Please check if you had enough resources.

i will have to try again but i thought i had plenty, it was on the 8 player map with the grid of which the name esacpes me at the mo.

tho im willing to bet it was lack of cc
