Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a second copy of Armada 2, possibly from ebay.de.  Does anyone know what to expect as far as shipping costs go?

Welcome to the Community.

Ebay usually tells the shipping cost on the product.

Thanks. :)

The shipping prices I see at ebay.de are from germany to germany... doesn't show international shipping prices, even when the auction states that they do worldwide shipping.

Maybe the International and German SC are the same?

It would likely depend on the seller, I've noticed there is no uniform postal price as most sellers (both national and international) never have the same cost even if they are from the same area.  You would be best off sending a question to the seller and asking them directly.

You asked for a german version so I think I can answer in german :D

Armada II CD`s gibts bei Saturn/Media Markt und real ab 5€. Der MOD funktioniert wunderbar mit einer Deutschen Version des Spiels.

1. I guess he asked for a German version because the English one is way too expensive (is that the reason?).

2. Here is a pack that transforms your game from any language to English: A2 Upgrade project International to English conversion Download, Star Trek: Armada 2 Miscellaneous

3. @Suralc: Where did you find Armada 2 at Saturn/Media Markt/Real? That was years ago, haven't seen any of the two Armada games for years there at different cities.

4. Shiiping fees can differ but shouldn't be to high if you live in Europe. 6-12 €, but I have no real idea in the end. ;) Ebay.de should show the shipping costs on most articles though.

Feel free to contact me if you need more help Thenolos.

Thanks for the help.  I'm in the States and was just looking for a way to get it cheaper than fifty dollars U.S.  I may just have to check flea markets and pawn shops until I stumble across one.

Ok, shipping might be very expensive then.

If you already own a copy of A2 then its "technically" legal to d/l one off of the internet. If you dont however...

You could also just copy your original cd, couldn't you?

Then you'd best keep it to yourself... at least on the forum.

If you currently have a disk, you could.

The way I see it, this game is old enough now that Activision won't care, they had their fun with the Star Trek franchise and have long since given up the rights. They aren't making money off it (or any other Trek game) and haven't for the last, oh what, seven, eight years. Just find a torrent of the disk images and have at it. I don't think it really matters whether you have the original disks or not, but that's just me.
