everybody seems to forget the newton battle tractor beam.  It is very effective against a Tavara, or a cube

But you need a Klingon Chor Class or ally to use it.

The Tractor beam is medium-range... not that helpful imo

A tavara would give a small vessel like the newton (PS: It's against all physics that a amall object can hold a larger one in place!!!) some shots and it's gone. Tractors make sense for large vessels like galaxies and bigger ones only.
