Special powers and bulid rate

One of the early complaints against Armada II was how disposable the ships seemed. I don't think this excellent mod does enough to fight that.
This goes to build rate, and cost, and weapons power of course. I would suggest slower building and more expensive ships that are stronger.
It also goes to special abilities. The one special ability only nature of most of the Federation ships anyway might be too constraining. Perhaps each ship could have two or even three. What ships should have which powers?
(BTW, thank you so much for getting rid of all of the ridiculous special abilities!)

I've thought about this a lot in the last days and came to the point, every ship should only have one special ability. We've made many test games and you booth can win with small or large vessels.. the best seem to be a mix of it with the porper weapon systems (pulse, torpedo..).
