Unofficial Official Fleet Operations Story

So, after a bit of work collecting all the information I could find/deem useful about what the Fleet Operations timeline looks like, plus all the available tid bits on the Ciadan, Noxter, and Iconians, I think it is presentable. So without further ado, download the pdf and breath in FO!

If you have additional information, please post it here so that I might create a better more complete version. Note that all the descriptions presented in this document are taken from the Team's posts but are edited to be (I hope) more easily understood. For those of you who don't know much about the Fleet Operations story, I hope this serves as a good introduction and way for you to get excited about it! 

If people would like, I can add this into the Hitchhiker's Guide too

Agreed, if this is Dev-approved then it would be perfect for the 'Guide.

As I was reading that I remembered how long ago it was I first heared all these stories...
... well anyway, I didnt find anything wrong with it, as far as I can remember

I'd hope most of it would be correct: I took a lot of Optec's posts (and some scattered others), and slightly reworded a little bit, but kept the vast bulk of it as his own words

Sure, proof reading will be great! I will do a little more as well: I hadn't done that much proof reading because after seeing the other post on this subject, I wanted to release it as soon as possible because I think that it could do the forum good to learn the workings of each of the "brand new" factions as well as possible campaign ideas.

Very useful. Now I can figure out what's going on in the story! By the way, I found a translation for "übermächtig":

    adj. overwhelming, overpowering, in control; stunning, dazing; strong

I found another one that said "superior" but that didn't seem to fit in context. "Overpowering" or "strong" would probably be closest to what is meant.

Sounds like the Iconians are going to end up being the race for me.... I've been dying for a side that uses only one single central base the entire game. 
That and I really love to play as a race populated by selfish jerks who can manipulate time...

Ok, I'll try to gather info on the avatars and existing factions... though unfortunately there isn't as much (if I recall)--but there is still a fair amount 

I thought I'd take a break off doing strategy for a short while to compile this

well not everything in those back stories is final, as we are currently in a re-design phase on the future outlines of Fleet Operations, but most of the information collected here should be accurate. The Ciadan will probably have their first visit as a NP faction.

The Noxter for example will have a sense of technology and use technological units, as you can guess from the recent news post.

Ok folks, this is the next installement. More info can be found about every faction... sadly however, I have mined the "search" feature to oblivion, and alas there is no more. At least I don't think so. There are plenty of broken links though... so perhaps there will be more information eventually

Hehe, better not start reading yet, a new version will be out hopefully by the end of today. With Zebh's help I found the old archives for FO... and with it, much more info on the avatars for Feds,Romies,Dom, and Kling
