Upgradable Defence Platforms?

What about having upgradable defence plaforms for each civilization, feds could upgrade to add/replace weapons with beam phasers or quantum torpedos, borg could upgrade them to be auto assimlator platforms (seen this in another mod and it was pretty cool) etc etc.

Not bad, although Optec will probably say it will ruin the strategy of the game or something. Try posting on the requests topic next time

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Yep, one defence platform per race seems to be a bit to less for some fans out there. At least the Federation will get a new defence platform with beta3 (well as long as you chose Admiral Mayson as your avatar)
i'm also thinking about a new feature for beta4, which will need more defence stations per race.. and therefore some races will get upgradeable towers (to save me work in modeling complete new towers )..

see not all ideas are sh*t down so will you stop putting optec down its really starting to anoy me.
