This (I believe) has been a long time coming, that is, me actually having registered here. I thought I had an account before, but the usernames I tried didn't work, so created this account. I'm Ash (known elsewhere as Aerilon, Transmission, Tycoon, or if you're real old-school, SupaStarAsh).
Have been playing FleetOps ever since Version 2 came out (I wasn't aware of Version 1 until after). Have stuck with this project for a while, along with my own (Zero Hour for those who haven't heard of it). Hopefully I'll get into this community a bit more too, share some suggestions, pick up some tricks etc.
That'll be all.

hah, joinng you guys online may have to wait a while.. the Dominion are giving me a run for my money at the moment, and last time I played online (standard A2) was against a guy named Freyr. I had my ass handed to me in under ten minutes.

Hehe, well, playing FO online is a good deal different than A2

Dom's right, it's very different. For example, it would take at least 12 minutes for us to relinquish your misplaced buttocks in Fleet Operations.

YOU ARE HIM? SSA? I have been getting your material from A2files for sometime and using them in my mods... great stuff. Though I always seem to have the same barrier for releasing my own versions... I guess it is because I was never able to get a permit...

Welcome welcome!
FO is a fantastic overhaul for standard A2. If you get REAL old school and go back to A1 there was a mod out there that was supposed to be a complete overhaul that never got completed correctly (who's name escapes me). FO is a great evolution of that!

I guess that makes me "real old-school", then... I've still got some of your ships in older installs of A2!
Same deal for online as stock, really - much better than playing the AIs.

more reason not to play I think!Mal wrote:Dom's right, it's very different. For example, it would take at least 12 minutes for us to relinquish your misplaced buttocks in Fleet Operations.
Yeah, I'm him! Nice to know people are using my releases, and I'd get past the barrier if I were you, opens up a lot of windows.1337_64M3R wrote:YOU ARE HIM? SSA? Jan has had many names I think . One of the others was Amb, and I believe also nbk-The One (not sure if I remember that correctly, sorry Jan )
Aww, don't let that drive you off playing online - that's what FO is designed for, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of people who are great fun to play with and are willing to teach you the ins and outs Aerilon
