What's that?

Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

I played online with a friend against Romulan and Fed AI hard as suddenly this appeared:

Has anyone an idea what that is?

Thanks a lot,

Online game? Looks like an attempt at cheating was detected and possibly foiled. I'm no expert though :). I've never seen that error before.

I got it once, never figured it out though.

Exploit? The word id typically used in gaming to show that someone ( or something) was trying to cheat. Exploitation typically occurs because of debug menus. I would know, as Elite Force has one that's easily exploited. If it was a human player in A1 or A2 or even FO, they probably hit enter and brought up the cheat menu.  :sweatdrop: I would give you a screenshot, but I haven't made any yet. But remote build exploit  ? Never heard of it. But Drone, someone DID cheat.

Look at the old fleet-ops patchlog.  They fixed a bug that allowed someone, in multiplayer, to 'remote-build' stations across the map from their construction ship.  Sounds like someone found another way to do it.

Well, the remote/teleport build is a  well known exploit/bug in the stock A2 online community, it allows you to start building at a place like normal but the building appears at totally different spot once finished. You could let your own starbases and turrets spawn right into the enemy base.
Luckily the team was able to fix this. :)
