Hello Fleetopsteam,
i installed your mod last weekend. and i must say ....


THAT THIS ONES TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

 

i was totally flashed/surprised of how better your version is over the original one.
i was fallen in love after the first minutes.
everthing felt so good designed, designed with so much love.

the GFX/SFX ... miles
the interface/buttons ... miles
the pathfinding/maps ... miles
the uniqueness of the five Races ... miles
your HP ... even your Game Guide (wich is totally needed if you are new to this game)... miles
the feeling of beeing an Admiral of a Fleet were every ship, every little unit of Dilithium counts... miles
... everthing miles

this is maybe the best mod i´ve ever played 

infact its the best STAR TREK GAME ive ever played (and i played some). thats for sure.

its an absolute MASTERPIECE!!!!

since i have just played 5 times against a medium AI until now i cannot make any quality comments, but ..

i will surely enjoy your work for a long time and will join ... (well since i am a casual player i will not make any promises but i think) ... the forum and maybe in some time i can join some onlinegames.
after i spend some times exploring the GAME Mechanics aginst the AI.

Yes, this game is very different to Armada II. Much closer to a perfected Armada I, really. Don't call it a masterpeice yet, though; it's not even close to the final version.

Glad you're enjoying the game, I think we'll all agree 100% that it's amazing lol. Be sure to download Tunngle and come play online with us, it's a lot more fun than playing against the AI and there'll always be people willing to help you learn if you're new

welcome to the forum chrizzzy. yes fleetops is great.

as blazing said, come play online, you'll love it. there are plenty of new players joining all the time so it wont be like you are the only new player and everyone else is elite.

i suggest reading the guide and watching some replays.

As Myles said I suggest you watch some of the replays - they gave me alot to think about and I think you will find them very helpful as well!

I actually have a question about the greatness of this mod... I agree as well, but I have a friend who plays Star Craft, and well, I've never played it personally, but when I hear him talk about it, I've told him it sounds like a game I play... this. But when he asks me if its any good, or better than star craft.. not sure what to say to him. He talks a lot about resources, and rushes maybe, and different ship classes? or something. cant really remember. But, would this be a mod we could compare to star craft equally, or is star craft really good also? I don't really mind either way, FO is crazy awesome. CrAZy!

i personally think fleetops is better than starcraft. starcraft is a fast game and is about clicking fast and micro from what i've heard.

fleetops is more about map control and games take longer and there is less punishment for mistakes. new players stand a better chance in fleetops since the gap between elite and new is smaller.
