Your stupidist error playing FO

Last night was involved in a 5 player FFA and with players who are well out of my league, but they left me alone for a long time, meaning in principle i should have done a lot better than i did.
Was playing as Klingons.
The stupidity?
I ran out of supplies and went attacking hoping to get some supplies. While I was doing this i built up thousands upon thousands of di and tri because I wasn't making ships.
Finally was down to a couple of ships and still no supply. By this time the other guys were hitting me as well. I thought, ok, its time to suicide so sent off my last ships to die foolishly.
Only after quitting I remembered - you can buy supplies at the starbase!
I mean, how big a facepalm do you need for that one?
EDIT: Before butters or anyone else who played jumps in and says i made a mountain of errors in that game, i claim tiredness in addition to stupidity!
