I have turned the clock back a little by making a rather classic style 23k by 23k 4 player map.

Just tell me how you likes.

Looks good. A nice mix of paired and single moons. My only suggestions would be to perhaps split the four moons in the middle just a little bit and reduce the map size to about 18K x 18K for a four player map :).

Unfortunately, I cannot test it at the moment though as I do not have access to my computer :(

How come the first map for months gets crickets when I ask for feedback?

i havnt downloaded it so have no feedback about the map itself.

the reason i dont wanna download it: its too big.

23x23 is massive.

there are large 8 player maps not that big lol.

one of my favourite 2v2 maps is asteroid halma, its only 12x12

whats worse is going by the minimap your map is quite devoid of anything, so there would be long periods of ships flying through space. thats boring lol.

The other thing is there are few moon pairs and then the big "motherlode' in the center.  It tends to not make very good gameplay that way.

I highly recommend working on more "Semi-asymmetrical" maps as Boggz calls them.  I still think Final Frontier II is one of the best maps out there (maybe even my favorite map hands down, with some close seconds like some of Stardust's maps), and is a perfect example of each side being equally fair, while having many interesting ways to attack and move about.

Good map making is just really hard.  There's a reason why I haven't tried my hand at making a map in a loooooong time.  :D

Actually Gamer I like that you've decided to pare down and make things more simple ^-^.

I would recommened, however, that if you want people to play your maps online you make 2 v 2's within 12k x 12k to 18k x 18k.  Anything bigger screams tech race / cloakers paradise.
