Actually, I think your engines had to be disabled for it to take effect.

You do, it has never effected anything with working engines as far as I remember.

i didnt know your ships would of been destroyed in stock a2 with that bh, the first two maps of a2 in federation campaign if i remember right had blackholes and i did see ships that were disabled get pulled in and destroyed both mine and the borg. alpha theta base needed resupply that that narrow passage way had a blackhole there apart from the wormholes to the back of the troubled base. i seem to remember moving my fleets and the ships just went around on their way to destroying a cramped borg base nearby. i never saw and ships being destroyed by the bh there either. i still got stock a2 on my machine, i can test it now if it's needed?

in stock a2 you couldn't fly into a black hole. if you flew near it it would do absolutely nothing. only if engines went down you would fall into it.

more like destroyed next to it. if it was a real event that ship would of been sucked into it in several thousand pieces. and the main hull crushed like a tin can once the inside pressure from all the oxygen has been eliminated.

Once you cross the event horizon, there's no telling - not to mention those seemed like naked singularities and had very "star trek -like" behavior.

both in armada 1 and 2 if you phase cloaked using romulan science vessel and went through the black hole, then your science vessel would be destroyed.

At least it is nice to know some of my material is actually appreciated. Since the Lucid nebula never worked in the pack. I traced my mistakes to make sure the nebulas in the next one actually work.
