Background Object Size and Map Editor

Hi All,

I'm new to the community and I'm currently experimenting with the Map Editor. Hopefully, this was not already discussed in other threads (could not find it using searches).

Two Questions:

1) Can you change the size of background objects like planets and suns? I want to make a blue sun for a map but it is quite large. I'd like to shrink it down to make it look like it's farther away.

2) When I use Control + E for the map editor and the objects would sometimes the objects show up, and then more recently they don't. I want to see how they would interact and also see if I could upgrade the systems on the stations if possible. I'm trying to make a neutral race but the dominion base isn't as strong as it can be once defense/offense has been upgraded.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

The only way to make map objects appear smaller is to set them further down into the map.

I'm not sure what you are asking in question #2 .

I've placed dominion perimeters and breen ships on team 8 for a 2 player map to act as a neutral force to slow down each side and to add some fun. When I use Control + E to see how the stations would look and move there is only a black screen.

So I added a Klingon base on team 7 and placed it beside my dominion/breen force. I used Control + E and the Klingon base was destroyed by the doms and breen. I moved it farther away and went back in and only the Klingon Base was on the map.

Does that make more sense?

if it was destroyed you need to replace it, i think its more like editing it mid game what you are doing rather than altering the map forever.

It's not just for destroyed bases or ships. Even if i replace them nothing shows up. When I hit control e after placing objects on the map the screen is always black. Nothing appears at all. Doesn't matter what team the objects are on.
