Does Anyone Have Problems Wit Map Lighting

for example if i change the camera to a certain angle sometimes the textures become bright and u can kinda see the wireframe through the texture :cry:

I have a problem with several maps I downloaded from here, and it is to do with a nebula that has white squares appearing and it is making the interface of the race I am flash uncontrollably as well as decreasing the game's speed. HELP!
