Map Backgrounds

Hi there mappers,
a friend of mine started creating a few maps and therefore asked me to provide him with new backgrounds.
So I created 4 nebulas via photoshop that I wanted to share with the FleetOps community.
Btw you can request a background with a specific shape or colour and perhaps I will find the time to create it.

Installation:
Download both archives and extract them to your textures folder in Armada II or FleetOps
and select them in the map editor via the Environment Tab
If you cant find it in the drop-down menu just type its name and it will appear.
Feel free to share but dont forget proper credits

Very nice!  I like those a lot. 

To get the most use out of this thread, I highly recommend these backgrounds as well to map makers.  They look stunning in FO.

Now hang on, does just the person making the map need the file, or everybody who uses it?  If it's just the mapmaker then I'll be sure to use some of these in the future

Hey ressikan, can i use these backrounds in my mod?



And triptic, you must have the backround textures in your game file for it to work, so everybody that uses it would need them.

Here are pictures of the backgrounds im currently working on. They are a bit colorful but nevertheless very realistic.

Great work Ressikan.

I like all the nebulas, each nebula to an exact moment.

Green for Borg Ambient, Red for Inferno system or a protoplanetary system, blue for ice or reflection nebula etc.

It would be good to see in FO, background like this too.

i downloaded them thanks, will try them out at some point. maybe it should be suggested to put them into stock fleet ops?
