Assimilated textures?

Hey everyone. I just downloaded Fleet Ops today after a lengthy and successful search for my Armada II disk. I'm really loving the game but I miss the assimilation nodes/textures on ships assimilated by the Borg. I always thought it was a neat flavorful feature. Is there any way to re-acquire this? Thanks!
