Anybody out there, that's good at making these, care to help me out with a few ships I've added to my game? My edition of photoshop crapped out on me.

Sure!  What you need help with?  and is this for stock a2 or FO?

FO I've added the Prometheus class that comes with FO but it doesn't have any of the 3.1.3 new stuff like the stock ships.  I've also added the Springfield, Cheyenne & New Orleans classes from the Wolf 359 pack by Tycoon and some Cardie ships by Dan. If I get permission to release them and I get the bb and wireframes I'll but them up here.

Well, if you look here, you might be able to figure it out yourself.  if not, just post pics of the ships so I can download them and do them for you.

I would like to make my own build buttons for the ships, stations and special weapons in my mod that don't have any, but I don't know what program to use and have had problems with GIMP and TgaTool2.

Also, I've tried using a program that opens and edits .BIK files but the new Star Trek Armada II Into I've made using the Stock Intro and the Birth Of The Federation Inro lost their sound when the game is running but my file works fine with the sound playing. What will make combining the two easier?

To zaxxon:

I'll give this a shot but I've tried it before without success, so I might be emailing you some pics this week if that's ok.

To jetnova:

Photoshop will open .tga files but don't get version 6 it's horrible for this kindof stuff, or I'm just not getting it.  Not sure about the other stuff.

If you wish to continue alone...

Button Templates - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

Blank buttons can be found here as well :)

Adding a Ship / Station - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

This should provide some helpful advice to making each type of image  ^-^

I recommend using GIMP incidentally - it should work just fine for your purposes

Hi,

has anyone ever made a systembackground image for Flourish and Galaxy EVO class ships?  I've been trying to get images using the guides but with no avail.  If anyone has made one or attempted making one using the programs suggested in the guide, could I ask some help and advice?

Thanks,

I have a GalaxyEVO image for the combined ship and both seperate parts. Not the Flourish Class, though.

Zaxxon, should I email you my systembackground12 so you could add the Flourish to mine and get both in 1? My 'custom ship' systembackground has room for 2 more ships.

That'll work too, but it needs to be in a rar file because of size. It has 2 unused spaces down the bottom right.

Since it has multiple downloads, I might as well say what is in it:
  • Cargo Ship
  • Spacedock
  • Excelsior Class Lakota-varient
  • Britain Class (S34 exclusive)
  • Miranda Class
  • McMillain Class
  • Araxes Class
  • GalaxyEvo Class
  • GalaxyEvo Class - Saucer
  • GalaxyEvo Class - Stardrive
  • Lantian 'Aurora-type' Warship
  • Descent Class (FO 2.0 version)
  • Aegian Class (First Contact-style)

Ok, added the flourish. the .rar is attached.

Just as an FYI, on msfc, Jetfreak has gone on a re-textureing spree as of late and retextured the flollowing ships.  They are done quite well.

  • Mantis Class
  • Nebula Class
  • Dawnstar Class
  • Insignia Class
  • Aquiescent Class
  • Flourish Class
  • Dignity Class

There were numerous others a couple of weeks ago if anyone is interested.  I am only saying this because I am doing my BSG mod atm, and don't have time to do any FO conversions, but it would be awesome of somebody else could do some.  I"ll see if I can't post some pictures.  I might as well open my own thread.
