An Excalibur Class available as an avatar-specific Experimental Warp-In. Mayson can Warp-In a standard Excalibur (in the same lines as a Descent, with a different Veteran special), while Risner can Warp-In a refit with a close-range Transwarp Drive.

I can never be disappointed by your work Tyler.... you keep resurrecting my love for this ship.

Does it have its own phasers and torpedoes? Or will I have to do that?

It uses the Descents weapons. As it's a random Descent alternative, it kept the balance intact.

Cool ship, I really like it. I made it buildable after making it work with 3.1.4 (haven't updated yet).

I noticed that (at least for me) the transwarp doesn't work. The button appears, and I can click it, but when I do, the engines wind up, the bulkheads vibrate and hum and then it just goes pheeeewww, and I don't move anywhere. I already checked the phase alignment, and that aint it.   :lol:

Edit : I also noticed that the Newton's repairbeams won't heal it, and the shield reset special ability doesn't recharge the shields.  :ermm:

this isn't working for me all im getting is descent-class ships, i've installed everything where it should have gone but still nothing, i had the other Excalibur-class in my install, the one that was taken down due to credit issues i think, maybe i didn't delete everything from that mod? any help?

Did you replace the Special Warp-In file in the Starfleet Command odf?

How many times have you tried? It's a 50/50 chance.

yes i did, i tried at least four times but all i keep getting is descents

So fed_sf_commandY.odf has "fed_warpin_specialY" instead of "fed_warpin_special" and the same for fed_sf_commandZ.odf? It should work then, the ship is in the Warp-In odfs.

Put a few SFC in the map editor and Warp-In a few times, then delete the ships and try again. It should give one eventually. I usually seem to get Descents more often, but Excaliburs come at times.

Weird. Open the odf 'fed_warpin_specialY' and see if the following text is there:
replacement0condition = "unitedfederation"
replacement0class0 = "fed_descentW"
replacement1condition = "unitedfederation"
replacement1class0 = "fed_excaliburYW"


Then do the same for the Z extension. If they are there, it should work.

Actually, delete replacement1condition = "unitedfederation" and replace replacement1class0 = "fed_excaliburYW" with replacement0class1 = "fed_excaliburYW".

I added this to my game as a buildable ship on the Eraudi yard, and I cannot get any special weapons to fire with it. They can be clicked and targeted, but not fired. It seems that special abilities don't affect it either. What am I doing wrong?
