After the Dominion war the Obdisian order was quickly recreted, because the Central command saw the importance of good intelligence organisation growing fast. Although the Order was dramatically restructured comparing to the older system, the Order still maintained high secrecy for its actions. After a few years the original ATR programs' plans were recovered from destroyed Cardassian facility. At first the Order didn't see any use for the program, but soon, as the Obdisian Order gained intelligence about the activities in Breen space and and possibility of Dominion invasion, the order reinstated the ATR program in high secrecy.

The improved ATR 4200 design had still some flaws that prevented the large scale use of this formidable weapon. The computer system were improved in many ways, but in the tests a malfunction was encountered with devastating results, although the missile was armed only with dummy weapons . The instability of the computer in long term use and the extremely high construction costs caused that only a handful of these missiles were built. Because of limited resources, the warhead had to be reduced and refined.

The missile's designation is multipurpose tactical missile. It can be sent to mission that it will complete at any costs. The new computer design allows the missile to return to the launch silo for repair and refill if the mission don't require it to detonate its main warhead.

The existence of these missiles is kept very secure. Only the very few high ranking member of the Obdisian order and The Cardassian high command are aware of the existence  these Missiles. All missiles are located on remote locations nearby border between Breen and Cardassian space waiting in their silos to be launched in case Dominion tried to invade Cardassia.

Specifications:
  • Reinforced duranium hull armor
  • ATR stealth system
  • System 6 ship mounted disruptor
  • Quantum torpedoes
  • Refined tactical warhead
  • Advanced computer systems
  • Plasma wave

Special abilities:

  • Initiate Stage 2
Activates stage 2 launch mode after the primary target is selected. After target selection it is impossible to change the course of the ATR Missile.
  • Plasma wave
Creates a high energy ionized plasma burst around the ship, which will affect the impulse engines of the nearby vessels and disable them, including the engines of the friendly and hostile vessels. The ATR Missile's improved impulse engines are able to withstand the effect of plasma.

(Installation: extract the zip to FO data folder. After that the ATR Dreadnought silo can be placed as map object in map editor (F10 -> F1 -> F8))

Cool.  I think this ship is going to be in final frontier as well.

Probably, but the weaponry is most likely somewhat different than in this one.

So, how would you use it without any other Cardassian vessels? Can you give a little more info.

It is map object placeable via NPC races. You can put a silo in the map and launch only one missile from the silo (how could you refill a Cardassian silo?).

And would it behave like a normal ship? With the plasma wave and ramming to obliterate a target with its warhead special abilities? Wow. Nice vehicle. What would its stats be?

I really don't know. I both of them are very high, even if the main warhead isn't calculated in (the warhead might be still a little overpowered...).

Good work zebh. Still we need to discuss the thoron-emitter. I'm still favouring a short-duration, thick, dustily glowing crew killing beam.
