The Unofficial Fleet Ops AI Mod (v 1.0)

Hello Fleet Operations citezens! I'm sure everyone was in favor of an AI refit? So, here is what the forum is all about. I'm simply doing an AIP modification, since 3.08 is coming up I'll have to update to the new AIP list, but until then here is for the 3.07!

Progress:
- Tweaked the AIPdef.h file to allow bigger construction (the max_elements line was adjusted, it may or may not matter)
- New readjusted Dominion AIP file
- New readjusted Federation AIP file

The three files are attached everyone. I'm working on the other AIP's, they should arrive real soon! All AIP's are adjusted to my "Golden" comment in the AI refit forum, for those that are looking for the files in the Refit forum will not find them because they have been removed under my permission. The files have been resubmitted into the forum in this post.

Note: This replaces the original files, either back-up the originals or install a "Mod-copy" of FO.

More Good news! The Klingon AIP is here sooner than you'd think! The Klingons are all relentles now with MAJOR ship building! Don't forget that this plus the other AIP's can really boost your instant action game play! So downlaod now! This mod is small but changes much!


Can you please consider my mod? I've been trying to come up with good ideas to impliment new game play. Is my reputation bad enough that you should avoid me?

What's wrong guys? I've tested these things! They make good play! Why doesn't anyone download my first FO add-on/replacement modification?  :(

I'm guessing I have a horrible reputation then? What is it?

No its just that well i only saw this just now and i'm kinda busy (started work on a mod among other things) so i havent had a chance at downloading it. New AI's would be nice though... :D

Okay guys, this is for the Romulan race. Now here are the most Important advancements that with the previous AI bugged me a whole lot!

1] Tavaras are not the first Warbird constructed anymore, they have been moved more towards the final part of the tree

2] The Romulans focus on Warbirds instead of Destroyers

3] They now use their spy satellites (this change was also applied to the Feds)

Those are the prime changes! Enjoy! Remember that it is recommended that all AIP files in the forum are downloaded in order to better guarantee good game play for all races!  :thumbsup:

(Edit) Temporarily removed for some fixing... will be put back on after further fixing and testing...  :sweatdrop:

problably gonna have the borg spam 457 tactical cubes lol....No offense but these "adjustments" are not very balanced....I dont see how having the AI spam buttloads more of battleships is better game play?....perhaps u should try playing against 7 dominion or borg AI opponents if You want uber spammed....Though I do like the idea of adjusting how many defensive structures are built by the AI....hmm that could be interesting.....Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Great eye candy but  how Well does this  mod play with the  Standard Fleet Ops?It may have a lot of  Uber "god Shipsand features . However if It  does not like to play nice with the "normal" F.O Program  not worth much.In my humble opinion. I had  a lot of problems on other sites ( Armada Fleet Command )where the mods  did not like to  get along with other mods and updates.  That was the reason I Stopped using the mods there because of all the problems  the conflicting  mod programs caused.

This is just an AIP mod, it is compatible with 3.07, and with some minor adjustments that I'll make, 3.08. These are just taking a regular version and making their Offense/Defense ratios more like their race.

Now You don't have to wait any more Borg fans! Because Resistance is futile now! Here are the Dynamics of the Borg, at first they focus on assimilation, vessels with holding beams are  at a larger production than those without. At the end is where their forces get heavy. So watch out guys!

Those define the maximum number of goals per mission type the AI tries to achieve by marking grid cells and the maximum number of potential goals it evaluates to chose from. The priority decides which goal will be executed by sending vessels to that grid cell.

For further information, read the Armada2 AIP files, the comments are good ^-^ as usually with game development, playing arround with the values works best to get a feeling how it will influence gameplay
