I have finally completed the Galor and am uploading it for you all to try!
Many thanks to Wrath of Achilles for making such a good looking model and textures, without which i could not have made this!
The galor class is positioned as a medium-fast destroyer with the ability to overdrive its weapons in order to perform raiding attacks/outgun other destroyers. It has a low cost but high buildtime. Base stats are:
24 Offensive
13 Defensive
11 System

I primarily built this ship to fulfill the role of a low cost destroyer that could perform hit-and run allow you to safely attack lightly defended mining expansions.
Just copy the contents (minus the galor_icon file) to the Data folder of your install. This will probably break any mods you have installed already so only install it into a stock copy.

There is a trio of Cardassian ships for an earlier FO on A2files, couldn't you borrow the Galor button from there?

That is sorta of what I am doing, I'm just making it Fo style.
Witch makes me ask, RCIX, Is this for use with the dominion?  Or should I give is a cardasian color.

Never mind, I made both.

Just need to prepare for upload.

That Carddassian addon comes with FO style buttons and wireframes. Aside from the wireframes, it would still fit in the current FO version.

Ok here ya go, it is the same version, with a choice of two different build buttons (yellow or purple) I put a shout readme in the texture, but I assume most of y'all won't need it.

Updated, Now it has matching Wireframes and buildbuttons.

Hmm, that usually happens and I unfortunately I can't help cus I didn't make the ship.  Did the build button work tho?,  it would help a lot if I knew my method works.

The button worked.

Cool.

Ok, from what I have read, most of the probmems with the ships not showing up has to do with missing emitter files.  I think FO uses different ones then stock, which is what this ship was made for.  I believe Dan1025's model works, because it is designed for the Fo patch project, but You would probably need permission to convert it and release it for FO.

I made a "patched" fleetops.spr file that includes emitter references that let most models work. In just a second here ill hack in zaxxons build button and make sure everything still works.
@Adam_C: Hmm. Well i could equip either pulses or torpedoes to it as well so if there is high demand for it i'll replace the weaponry...
@Gamer: I haven't decided what i'll make next but ill take a look at my inventory in a little bit.
@Zaxxon: This build button will work for now but i would prefer if you made one with the galor_icon.tga file i have now included. Can you update your icon please?
@Tyler: What rank was the ship(s) that you had the problem with? was it in "high" or "low" power mode?

I put 1 of each ship straight in and they came up like that.
