This ship bears a strong resemblance to the Galaxy class, but with a radical change to its saucer section. The hull now resembles a shovel

Not unless you include the John Deere Tractor tread refit for those pesky away missions... oh and don't forget the confederate flag paint scheme and matching beer cozy's for the command crew.

if you're 30 now (i doubt starfleet will let anyone younger command a galaxy class), when you reach borg space in 30-70 years (galaxy class similar speed to intrepid class) you will be 60-100, OAPs fighting borg, they wouldn't even want to assimilate you, when they tell you resistance is futile, you wont even hear them.

a defiant ramming a cube would be like throwing a pea against a brick wall.

a galaxy ramming a cube would be like chuck norris throwing a punch against a planet. (you decide which will win depending on how much you love chuck norris)
