Happy anniversary, and many congratulations on keeping Armada running well for as long as you have!

The only way I'd ever want to see JJ's Enterprise appear in FleetOps is through one of those Cardassian gates that species 1872 would pop out of in Armada II. That way, you could simply say it came from a parallel universe.

Although one has to wonder how useful such a ship would be against TNG technology...

Question, I noticed it the first time, but didnt realize I could zoom the image. On the 10th anniversary pic, what is the ship on the right? Its a descent and an excelsior on the left but the ship on the right looks different. The nacells the shape of the saucer and the shape of the bridge are all different then that of an excelsior. Perhaps its a variant?

Pretty sure that's an Excelsior-II.

Congrats on ten years! I'm so thankful to the whole FO team for doing such a freaking fantastic job and can't wait for the next version! And I'm so glad to hear about this NX project! I was wondering how long FO could survive on such an antiquated engine. Happy to see it'll survive past Armada II :) stupid Activision tried to keep you guys down...don't they know resistance is futile? ;) :assimilate:

Aloha Everyone,

It has been a long time since I got on! I'm very happy to hear that FO is still kicking, even with the looming doom of the original game engine. Wow, you guys have done so much work to this game. It is nice to know that you are still working on it, making it better. I sure hope that you find a suitable replacement engine that is 2010 ready and beyond.

I agree that this is the last Star Trek game. The original series (how do you make that plural?) were so much better than this reboot. Along with this, I have another thought : This, truthfully, has been the last great RTS game. I used to play all of the Command and Conquer games, then EA bought them and they jumped the shark. Since then, this really is the very best in strategic games. None others were as broad or as fun.

Here is to a long and successful Fleet Operations.

it's already plural. the plural of "series" is "series". the word is uncountable, like "sheep". it's an annoyance in our language that nobody ever bothered to fix.

Its amazing to see how far this has come in the last decade. The time and effort you guys have put into this has been well worth it. I patiently await V4 and the eventual evolution to NX!

I hope 4.00 will be released before 20th anniversary.

Congrats to all FOPS devs, it's rare these days that people stick to something for such a long time, and i think it was more than worth it so far, meaning... this "mod" (can't even call that anymore) is astonishing and well made.
