seiyya, khellian and nei'rrh are already good sounding names. so i vote for them to be added.

that leaves the other two, which i think deserve some more ideas.

shadow: that romulans pretended to set up a base in the Nelvana system in the neutral zone once, I propose that name. perhaps that planet was once a talshiar base before the neutral zone was established. naming a ship after a star system isn't unheard of. and the shadow sounds secret-y to match that backstory.

talon: I just look through a list of romulans and found Taris, a romulan subcommander in TNG. she may share a name/lineage with an old romulan general/senator. which the ship was also named after (à la sherman tank). has the benefit of not being lightyears apart form talon.

I only dislike "Nei'rrh". Looks and sounds a bit too klingon, like "K'Vort, NoQ'Duj", etc...Personally i would go for the more latin sounding and spelling.Really like Seiyya, Anarhai, and Seiyya. Lovely change there (:

Here's a few suggestions.Ra'ana (Raptor): Ancient Romulan murderer who would storm military bases as a one man army. Famous for sabotaging the bases weapons before revealing himself and killing everyone. Was killed when a young solder got smart and checked his weapon when the alarm sounded. Said solder then gunned down Ra'ana.Tal'Mas (Raptor): Early Romulan captain who would target the enemy's weapons before destroying/boarding their ship.Ta'Vana (Shadow): Romulan word for assassin.Dre'La (Warbird): Romulan word for a large, armored vehicle with big guns. (Tank)

How about Hnoiyika-vicious predator, Laorh-catastrophe, Lluadh-sneak, Hvei'khenn-thunderstorm.

One of them should be called Valdore after the Romulan General of the same name.

The Valdore Class is already in game, but the choice to go with Norexan instead means the name's free.

I like the name valdore. but that is just a recipe for confusion. if the name valdore was gonna be a class in game, i'd want it to be the one it was in the movie. if only to make things not confusing.

I recommend looking at the Romulan designation for ships in Birth of the Federation:

Troop Transport/Builder: R'daran (possibly a constructor name?)
Colony Ship: D'retex
Scout: D'renent
Destroyer: D'ridren (this was the Talon in BOTF)
Cruiser: R'derex
Strike Cruiser: R'tan
Battleship: D'deridex (though I'm sure everyone knows what that ship is... it's in the game already)
Battle Cruiser: D'redar

I'm going to assume Generix, Leavahl, Serkas, and Mogai are already Romulan words, correct me if I'm wrong.

Myself, i've never really been a fan of the Romulan names from TNG. They always seem very contrived. But, I suppose the TOS/TMP naming convention of avian names doesn't really fit TNG so you have to "go with what you got". The only similarity between the two eras seems to be the latin-derived names used for some ships. So, with that, perhaps Senator, Centurion or Imperium could be re-used for a TNG era Fleet Ops class? There are many Roman terms that could be used also. Depends on the style you're going for :)

Shadow Class: Rudhai MareRudhai coming from the link below means "Sin".http://pfrpg.org/RH/And Mare in Latin means "Sea".Though you could alternate with sky or space.Rudhai Ralaar/ (or in Latin) CaelumRudhai Aeleir/ (or in Latin) SpatiumOr I've always been a fan of naming a class 'Trepidation'. In Latin it's "Trepidationis".

^^Glad my post didn't decide to use the paragraph format I originally put it in, makes it way more readable this way...Anyone know the secret code to make it work? Or even to edit?

I agree, it's a great idea to put Romulan names. The names: Talon, Shrike and Raptor, are names seem from Fedaration side, but from Rumulan side the ships has Romulan names.
