What the...
I can't believe you were actually working on this to be able to release it today night. :pinch:

I really like to see all those bug fixes and everything, i never hoped a patch will come so quickly, great job!

There is only one thing i don't understand: why nerf the dominion, the romulans should have been nerfed instead as the old AI kept spamming 5 Tavaras with lots of other ships, it was even hard with borg cubes to stay alive there. Tavara is overpowered and maybe rom's should have increased supply costs instead of the dominion. Tho thats only my opinion...
But i got a combat report where the Romulan AI alone has the same number of points as the SUM of the other three AIs - Borg, Klingon, Federation - all of them was Hard and it was an FFA... The Rommies wiped everyone including me with ease.

Ohh and special thanks for the fix of the DPI issue, great help for me! :woot:

Great job you guys are doing, great job indeed! :borg:
Big THX!

Ohh lol, i was just on my way back here to tell you that the game won't start up after i installed the patch...

I'll reinstall it and edit this post accordingly.

Edit:
I've reinstalled the patch but the game will not start up.
I will try to uninstall the whole game, then reinstall everything again and report back here. Until then i attach the bug report i got. Ohh and i'm running Vista x64 SP1.

Edit2:
Ohh nooooooeeeees...  >:( >:(
I forgot that i gave my Armada2 CD to my cousin to let him install FleetOps too and that ****hole didn't give it back...  >:(
Sorry i cant help you now with discovering this issue... :crybaby:
I could've tryed this on XP too as i have both on my PC but the two OS-es used the same FleetOps installation...

i just looked through your attached crash report. it seems to be related to your graphic card driver. are you using some kind of special setting that you have configured through your graphic card drivers? maybe special AA settings or something? are you using the latest graphic card drivers available?

edit: sorry, looked at the old report at the top but the current at the end of the file. yea, the issue somehow seems to occour while armada looks for the CD, strange...

The only thing i changed in Catalyst is, that i enabled Triple Buffering for OpenGL and Enabled Adaptive Anti-Aliasing, everything else is on Default. But these settings were always this way and 3.0.0. worked just fine with them. Btw. it's a simple Catalyst 8.12, no modifications at all, no Omega drivers, no Ati Tray Tools, nothing. It worked fine this far, except for the DPI issue but that was fixed by the OOS DevPatch too and the game still worked with it.
Sadly i can't try disabling Adaptive AA now as i'm left without my Armada2 disc here... But i'll report back tomorrow, as soon as i beat my cousin to... *coughs*

If it helps i can give you a dxdiag report or anything...

I wish the Staff and the Fans a Happy New Year too! :)

The Dominion didn't get a realy bad nerf. just some adjusting in the resource management we made according to some changes to supply in general (you might find supply more expensive in lategame for other races, now, too).

I'm currently tracking the Tavara. She will probably get some other requirements or restriction in one of the next patches, i'm just working on it to make it an interesting gameplay addition.

no no, it was not the graphics driver, i just read the wrong crash log. the crash seems to be related to something else.
