Looks damn near perfect. Love the new model. Its just a shame it took this long to get such an accurate model. However good things are worth waiting for.

where it says in the article about finding good schematics, there was a star trek fact file years ago that had schematics in it of every ship. perhaps somewhere on the internet someone has uploaded them.

The new model looks magnificent. Very impressive work.

Favourite screenshot for me is the classic face-off between the Galaxy and the D'Deridex! Beautifully posed!

Face Off set to wallpaper. Not only is it a nice shot but now I have an incentive to clean up all my icons so I can actually see it!!

Star trek official starships collection is the magazine. You get a really good model with each issue.
The D'deridex model has the same problem as mentioned above i think, just being slightly off somehow. Maybe i'm just used to the micro machines shape (which are too flat) but this is probably the best looking version of the warbird i've ever seen. Great job

I have one comment about the galaxy there are not supposed to be windows on the edge of the saucer section. there is something there though its not windows as far as I can tell.


If you look closely you will see what I mean.

It is hard to see, but they are windows there. They are just not often shown lit up. You can see them better on some of the other versions of the Galaxy class model that was built for TNG. That is actually where the windows are for Ten Forward. The model of the saucer that was built for the crash in Generations didn't have any of the interior lights for windows, etc. So nothing really lights up, including those windows.
