Now i think the problem is i got a new router a few months ago, and i dont think ive played since then, other then that idk what else itd be cept new version.
Okay so the old router was a linksys WRT54G v5, the new router is a linksys WRT160N v3
anybody know how to help me?

I have no clue mate I trust you've tried all the debugging stuff? - I do recall you playing about 2 months back. Did you try everything that was recommended in portforward.com? How about checking your firewall settings for the router? Try turning those off and seeing if you can play a game.
Check to make sure FO isn't being blocked by your firewall too

You need to go to the tunngle forums and do some forum searches, bud. Best way for you to figure it out is by hunting for the solution. Most likely someone has had your problem and someone's been able to answer it there.

DO you have an anti-virus program? Some of them will passively block certain connections to/from outside computers.
I know that mine has to be told to allow Tunngle and Fleetops both to operate.

No one can see him and he cant see anyone else. He started a game on gamespy even and asked me too look and see if he could see him and I couldn't.

Ray, can you send some screen shots? Trying to fix your problem blind is hard. For example, take a screen shot of the place where you forwarded the port, as well as anything else that might be helpful.

ok
In this case a DirectX log would be helpful
XP: click Start - Run type dxdiag click OK. Wait until the program is loaded, then, on the bottom of the window, click Save All Information... save the file and attach it to the forum please.
Vista/7: click the Start Button on the taskbar. In the search box type dxdiag. Press Enter key. Wait until the program is loaded, then, on the bottom of the window, click Save All Information... save the file and attach it to the forum please.

okay, first question, do i need to have tunngle running and fleetops, secondly will revealing that info, make my computer vulnerable to people with less then freidnly purposes?

okay i may have isolated the problem, i dowloaded the port checker from port forward.com, so i put in 11155 (the port) and i check it
it then says that it cant test it because some other application has it locked, so how do i unlock it? or do i need to unlock it?

Okay well i was not able to get the port forward checker to work, but it seems as though i went around in a circle but found the same conclusion..... like the shape of the galaxy saucer.... without the stardrive section.....
so heres what i had to do, i told my computer, look, i know you want starship seperation just as much as i do, but you need to empower me to play fleetops, so i can fight for the right to seperate, and you know what, my computer made fleetops work again..... it was beautiful,
actually what happend, is when i saw the port is locked, i thought firewall, so i added it to the exception list, then it didnt work, kinda ironic, because today i had been thinking that everything in my case, pointed to a small problem, and it was probably right in front of me but i couldnt see it,
well it turns out, that what i had was the firewall on, with no exceptions, ( i did this a while a go when i was getting malware like every 5 minutes) so i all i did was turn firewall on with exceptions and it worked
so all that static ip and port forward stuff wasnt needed, so i deleted it all
however, thank you all for your help, in helping me solve this problem, im glad i get to play with everyone again, i really do appreciate the way we worked together, just like a seperated galaxy could work, together, but helping the other part out.....
but really thank you all!
